My journey as an artist started in patient when I was hospitalized diagnosed bipolar in my early 20’s a nurse gave me a box of crayons. With no education or training I moved from crayons to pencils to paint getting my hands on anything I could find. Art became my medication it has helped me more than any drug or therpist in the world. I started using recycled materials because I had no money and could not afford anything else. Now in my 40’s I continue to use recycled materials because I love it. House paint, fabric paint, nail polish & spray paint . My work I hope helps make people think & feel differently about mental health by exposing myself completely then adding some humor mixing the very serious with the outrageous and ridiculous.

Visual Poetry Are works of art that I have made , Using poems that I have written. I then use existing pieces of artwork that I have made Or make new digital art. Putting the two together I feel creates Something new and exciting. I see a lot of poetry individually and a lot of individual artwork. Usually put together by two separate artists. I give all of myself in these works of art Visual poetry was heavily influenced by Fluxus, which is usually described as being Intermedia. Intermedia work tends to blur the distinctions between different media, and visual poetry blurs the distinction between art and text. Whereas concrete poetry is still recognizable as poetry, being composed of purely typographic elements, visual poetry is generally much less text-dependent. Visual poems incorporate text but the text may have primarily a visual function. Visual poems often incorporate significant amounts of non-text imagery in addition to text. Short Stories I have written that go Along with the image.

I then used it once as a joke to describe our marriage . " Brian , you are like a Waffle...consistent , reliable & Taste AWESOME !!!

While walking down the boardwalk
On our way to a wedding reception
for UFC fighter Tony Ferguson , the wind
was blowing so hard I could barely walk!!
I joked then thought wow my hair would
Actually not blow in my face for once !!!
I looked around .. For a moment... and realized
I was so caught up in rushing around , I had not
appreciated how truly blue the sky was...
how the air sea air felt on my skin...
Taking this photo turned into more than a stunning
work .. It is a moment in time...

Oh, the so perfectly ugly rental
car they gave us in New Jersey
while going to see our good friend
Tony Ferguson fight for the UFC.
Look, I have not lived there,
but 60% of my family does.
I am ( Hungarian / Russian Jew )
well they live in Jersey or NYC & Miami.
I have never been so confused or
frustrated as I was trying to drive in Jersey !!!
Yet..... I still love it there !!

While visiting Miami beach Florida we were parked along Ocean Drive. We have also been making music for years. And yes some of it is rap music!! Having grown up in the 80s and 90s I am very influenced by Miami bass music. I think it's obvious we made the shirt ourselves. And like always I am an expert at setting up the camera and taking photographs while making it look like I'm not photographing myself at all. PS we had a great day having fun in the sun on South Beach!!
I went to over 10 state & local fairs
& carnivals last summer.
I photographed them all.
I made friends with the real men &
women who worked them,
they live like family.
I am so excited this summer &
hope to see my old friends again!!!
