Location: Germany
I am an artist who was born in Germany in 1969, with a BA (hons) degree in Fine Art from the University of London, Goldsmiths' College. I lived and worked as an artist in London for many years (1988-2005), and am now based in the Cologne / Dusseldorf region of Germany.
For the last two years, I have been focusing mainly on photography, developing my language as well as learning to bring to my photos the same kind of intensity that I have brought to my paintings.
In my photo works, I hope to produce images that not only show some external occurence but also truly reflect how I feel at a certain moment, so emotion plays an important part in my work. They are images of the 'real world' as well as images that very much come from an inner place that somehow becomes visible through the artistic process.

I often use digital photography to "paint", employing various filters and hdr (high dynamic range) while taking the photos, with very little color adjustment on my pc. I consider the resulting images to be paintings that have come to me through photography. Images are printed on aluminium, 12x16 inches (30x40cm), or slightly larger.
