Taking cues from fashion magazines, performance art and her love of human faces and form, Alexis chose portraiture as her craft. She is inspired by classical paintings and sculpture as well as by contemporary photography. Alexis is a self-taught photographer and digital retoucher and is continuously influenced by both the history of portrait photography, and the incredible advances in both the art and the technology in the photography world.

Alexis is based in the Canadian Rocky Mountains and is focused on creating photographs with character and depth that tell human stories. The study of light, expression, communication and movement are constantly informing her work.
