(Life and Death / Light and Shadow)
Some places transmit unique sensations, of a present inseparable of a strong, enduring past. Sensations of what has been, of a reality telling different stories. Facts gone by, joys that were, lived dramas.
Walls may tell stories of life and death, physical and psychical.
And there is light and shadow. What’s evident and what’s just guessed, in an allegory of good and evil, of Eros and Tanatos. All in all inseparable, two versions of a single reality, of dawn and twilight.
This series was shot in an abandoned psychiatric ward and tries to express the eagerness for life and death, the search for light and shadow.
