Carina Francioso is a Canadian Italian fine artist with works held in private and corporate collections around the globe. Her meticulous attention to detail is demonstrated through her contemporary realist oil paintings. The theme of water in Francioso’s work is inspired by many years boating with family on Georgian Bay and summers living on the coast of Salento, Italy.
Francioso's art captures the calm, tumultuous, incessantly changing waters of the world, and expresses the beauty, power & fragility of this natural resource. Her relationship to water provoked the introduction of the female nude in water. These works depict the connection between water and woman: the strength, fragility, power, healing, and life-giving qualities that both woman and water possess. Francioso immortalizes her paintings with deep grace and delicacy, reflecting her constant inquiry into beauty: the natural, the physical, the spiritual.
She has served as Juror on the Boynes Emerging Artist Award Panel and is the recipient of numerous art awards such as the Arcadia Contemporary Gallery Award. Her work was internationally broadcast on RAI Television and is featured in various publications such as American Art Collector and Art Renewal Center’s International Realism Salon Catalog. Some of her celebrity collectors include the Princess of Dubai, John Legend, Tony Robbins, Wim Hof and Jim Kwik. As well, several paintings reside in homes designed by celebrity interior designer Barclay Butera.
