I have been taking photographs of the tatami mat which is a traditional floor of Japan. Tatami mat craftsmen wrap and make it with the carpet-formed tatami by weaving straw and rush. Due to the characteristic of the material, life pattern of the resident is recorded on the surface.
As if the surface of the earth gradually has changed by the activity of the human.

Areas having much snow, the snow accumulates around houses. That is why we must remove snow to somewhere like riversides or vacant lots. It’s called “snow dumping sites” or ”snow removal sites”.
Companies with snow removal equipment offer to provide services to remove it. The machine put the snow into dump trucks and transport it to the sites. The piles of snow grows like a propagation and creates white, grey and black mounds. They are constructed to hold their shapes rigidly and to prevent from collapse. Those suddenly appear in winter and gradually disappear in spring.
