Emilee has been fascinated by color and light from a very early age; it must be due to the beautiful sunsets in Corona Del Mar where she lived as a child.
Emilee is drawn to the excitement, surprise and wonder of watercolor. She enjoys the discipline of planning each new art piece. What order of steps will she need to take? What layers of color will she use? How will she protect the white of the paper so she doesn't lose the "punch" she wants to convey....that special nuance that inspired her in the first place? Painting allows her to capture for forever, a moment, a glimpse, of something striking and beautiful, but also very fleeting.
Retired after over 30 years with the Walt Disney Company, Emilee lives and paints in Anaheim, California. She is a juried exhibitor and Board Member at Art-A-Fair in Laguna Beach, a member of the Anaheim Art Association, the Anaheim Arts Council, Watercolor West, Spark OC, and Orange County Fine Arts Association.
Emilee's artwork has been published in the "Art Lover's Cookbook" and "International Contemporary Masters IV." She has exhibited at the Disney Alicante Art Gallery, Taste of Anaheim-Taste of the Arts, Chemers Gallery, Gallery 212 and Art-A-Fair since 2010. Emilee is a Juror, an Art Demonstrator and conducts Watercolor Workshops and private lessons.
Emilee also specializes in Custom Art Pieces; "Your Favorite Things." She combines all of YOUR "favorite things" to create a one-of-a-kind, personalized painting just for you --- or for that special someone in your life.

Dramatic contrasts of light, shadow and color are all around us. When I see something that takes my breath away, I'm immediately challenged to capture that sensation with watercolor.
Bringing a little sunshine into your life....
Bright, beautiful and exotic!
A favorite old truck that's been 'retired.'
I love the depth and the bold, contrasting colors in this piece.
Light and shadows are dominant in this piece.
I love a touch of whimsy in my artwork....another title could have been, "How much is that doggy in the window?"
Kids of all ages enjoy the Birdman of Newport and his beautiful parrots!
