Dowa Hattem was born in Cairo in 1970. She is a Professor at Faculty of Applied Arts. Since 1992 she has held eight One-Man Shows, and also participated in various private and national exhibitions. She has represented Egypt in BIENNALE FLORENCE IX Edition - Italy in 2013, and in The Second Edition of SANTORINI BIENNALE - Greece in 2014. She has obtained many prizes in painting field . She is interested in expressing emotions and inner states of mind. Her paintings are always alive with color, light, texture, atmosphere, energy and emotion. She believes in the unity of Fine Arts. To provide a good decoration, animation films, cinema, architecture or illustration must first understand the meaning of art through drawing and painting as well as the history of art. Successful painter can work in a variety of media to express meaningful concepts. Painters are skilled artists with literary flair. Her paintings collected in Culture ministry, Cairo Opera House, El Ahrame newspaper, Helwan University and Special acquisitions.
