Born in Hyogo Prefecture in 1943, Kawabata has, since her graduation from Joshibi University of Art and Design Junior College,made “simple is best” her motto as a painter and produces pieces that go with the times. In addition to holding traveling exhibitions at the Shinkaijusha, in recent years Kawabata has shown her work in countries around the world.
