Jan Karpíšek (b. 1981) is a Czech painter known for his blend of spirituality, ecology, and intuitive abstraction. A graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Brno University of Technology, he integrates traditional techniques with organic processes, including collaboration with bees. His work reflects Zen philosophy, permaculture, and themes of impermanence.

Since 2011, Karpíšek has been collaborating with his bees to create artistic artifacts. He places drawings, portraits of politicians, and letters addressed to the bees inside the hive, allowing them to interact with and transform the pieces.
