Pinar Ture Gursoy is a portrait and figurative painter and a photographer who was born in 1965 in Istanbul. She completed her higher education in Urban and Regional Planning in Yildiz Technical University in Istanbul.
Between 2010 and 2014, she got back to university and graduated from BA in Philosophy from Anadolu University with distinction. While studying philosophy, she was also living on and off in Paris and participating to workshops at the “Académie de la Grande Chaumière” in Paris.
During 2015-2018, in this time she lived on and off in London. In this period she graduated from MSc in Museum Management from “Istanbul University”.
She has been many Group and solo exhibiting and auctions in various Turkish cities and also abroad in Tokyo, Lucern, Deventer, Venice, Tiran, Napoli, Marakkesh, Thessaloniki, London, Fuerteventura, Milan, Pennsylvania etc...
Some of her works are included in the collection of Museum of Tolentino in Italy for Biennial BIUMOR(new), TEV(Turkish Education Foundation) and Portart by Hakan Körpi/ UPSD etc.
She was shortlisted among thousands of international competitors and works at the UK VAO Visual Art Open 2021 Art Awards, where she participated with a single work.
NNC (No Name Collective Art Gallery) Collective 2021 challenge contest she participated in was chosen by the curators for the 1st level. ( The competition continues)
Pinar Ture Gursoy’s two artworks was selected for “Blue Competition and Exhibition” at Colors of Humanity Art Gallery in the USA at December 01-31, 2021
In December 2021, she was included in the list of “Featured Artists” by the Italian origin ITSLIQUID group at www.Itsliquid.com
Currently she continues her artworks home atelier in Istanbul, Turkey.
Throughout her own career, particularly initially she developed a passion for the Atelier Movement, at various established artist studios.
Embracing her foundation in traditional techniques, she attended workshops at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière in Paris.
She aim to maintain her unique visual language mixing autobiographical material with inspirations from Greek & Ottoman iconography.

Short Description of Artwork:
In this artistic work, I focused on the concepts of human, identity, memory and space in the particular woman. And by creating a new reality, I built new meanings on the figure / space-time relationship.
The pandemic and illness reality of the year 2020 especially made a connotation of YELLOW in my color palette and I used the oil painting by thinning it with a watercolor effect.
In this picture, I expressed the complex, entangled structure of women formed according to the norms of society; femininity, sexiness, motherhood, daughter, wife, business woman, etc. all intertwined with each other, entangled
The oil paint is thinned on the canvas to give a watercolor effect and the yellow, gray and amber tones I use to make this effect even more obvious.
The slow awakening of feminine energy on the planet is depicted.

This painting is the story of bodies that believe in each other in every way, trust each other and find peace and tranquility in this port. It's a kind of calm power. The Red and Black palette supports these sentiments.
