Rune Baashus, 1956, Norwegian photographer, educated in Sweden 1979 - 1983.
He has worked in many parts of the world. He use existing light, contrast and shadow to show the character and beauty of the objects. The photographs are almost always composed through the lense.
Earlier his works ventured in cars, architecture and design and his photographs have been used for several covers in international magazines. Rune Baashus is known especially for his distinctive photographs of cars. But his carreer contains a lot more. In recent years his focus has moved to landscape and art photography.
I always look for the perfect picture and search for the moments that never come back. The silence in the details is deafening. As a photographer, I am always moving. What is important today, is perhaps forgotten tomorrow. With my eyes fixed to the camera, I try to capture the meaning of the past.
