When I was 11 years old, my next door neighbor, a retired art teacher from Hawaii, offered me art lessons. For more than 12 years now, we have met on a consistent weekly basis and she has helped shape me into the artist I am today. My curiosity of the world has come to focus on anatomy, how the physical relates to the inner world, and how the mind's eye perceives more than what is there. These themes have influenced my ever evolving process.
