Amy Deal is an exhibiting artist and award-winning freelance visual communicator. She has worked in many media and situations from lead designer /art director to facilitator of intergenerational group art projects. Amy’s current body of work is a product of her lifelong love of the spoken word & thoughts of others. She herself being visual cannot express herself with word, but with art of the word. She explores layering typography (and image) to create visual texture and pattern. Amy appreciates typography as an art form that lends itself to affecting imagery and enjoys the balance that can be achieved between visual and verbal designs. Her artwork is meant to make people think and reflect.
