Nature photography brings LIFE to interiors. It adds shape to sharp lines, adds color and contrast to dark spaces, and adds a sense of well-being. It stimulates the senses, brings peace to a personal space, and reconnects you with the outdoors all while creating a culture of healthy living.

Maria's unique fine art nature photography brings the exquisite beauty of the outside world into the inside spaces of homes and offices. Her image entitled "Antelope Man" was a top finalist in the 2013 Annual Defenders of Wildlife Photo Contest, out of 7,000 submissions from all over the country. The Land Trust reached out to her to have one of her images in their brochure aimed at raising awareness and millions in funds for the conservation of our wild lands.  In 2018 the Art Bushiness Institute featured  Maria's fine art photography and in February of 2019 it was featured on the TV show "Loving Life".

Maria's fine art nature photography stands as a reminder of our deeper, intrinsic connection to nature.  Her foremost goal in taking exquisite nature images is to offer an intriguing view of a fascinating world people rarely see. These images take you deep into Navajo slot canyons with descending beams of sunlight, into the eyes of leopards and wolves, inside flowers, atop mountains guarding sunsets, to the deepest lake in North America, and out to windswept expanses.

Maria's interest in nature and wildlife photography has been present since she was a child. Roughly 24 years ago, Maria took a 10,000-mile journey to several US National Parks including Grand Tetons, Glacier, Arches, Redwood, Zion, and Crater Lake National Park. After happening upon "Images of Nature", a Thomas Mangelsen nature photography gallery, she was so moved by the power of the images that she decided to go about capturing them herself. Ever since that transformative journey 24 years ago, Maria has been perfecting her craft. Maria's undergraduate degrees are in Botany and Zoology and she is currently one of only eleven biologists in the world to be a Certified Biomimicry Professional, all of which give her a profound respect and knowledge of the natural world, all while inspiring her to travel to stunning natural places where she continues to build her unique natural photography collections for you to enjoy.

Maria is a proud member of Nature First Photography Alliance, working to help conserve the places we love and photograph through wise use, education, outreach, community, and research
