Frank Ettenberg

Born 1945 Brooklyn NY, on V-E day. Discovered art-making in 1959, decided to be an artist on the spot. Liked abstract-expressionism most, so became one of those artists ever since. Had a standard US urban education but went to U of Michigan to get well-rounded. Afterward, down to Albuquerque for graduate school in the Art Dept. Received Gift of Time grant in Roswell compound and afterward moved to Santa Fe ( in June 1972). Lived there since then, with the exception of a 10-year sojourn in Austria, mainly Vienna. Return to Santa Fe in late 2012, after surviving N-H Lymphoma. Currently represented by City of Mud in Santa Fe.

Painted in Vienna, 2011, from a piece of 3/4"-thick formica board, which is often discarded on the street after renovations. The size is 15 x 18 1/8" & was framed in 2014, in New Mexico.
