Alain FAURE

Location: France

The artist devotes his time and his painting between Provence and Occitania. Born in 1953 on the shores of the big blue, he is imbued with colors, scents and everything that makes up the Mediterranean environment. It was at the age of 9 when he moved to Burgundy that he began sketching and then painting while devouring Van Gogh's light found in a few books with his eyes. Later he was inspired by the abstract painting of Mondrian (1st period "The trees"), then that of Chagall and Rouault for their work on stained glass and finally that of Vieira Da Silva for its very elaborate and geometric style. Noticed by his drawing teacher while he was in college in 6th grade, he made his first artistic dossier at the Beaux Arts d'Auxerre between 1964 and 1967. After schooling and military service he entered active life but continued throughout his career painting in the evenings, weekends or even during the holidays. With the permanent idea of learning and mastering his art, in search of a path and a style that he wanted to appropriate, he decided in 1972 to approach several workshops with multiple disciplines. This is how, to better understand other fields of expertise, he was also interested for a few years in the history of art, then for three seasons he practiced rapid nude sketching ... "very good school of humility, ”he explains. From 1983 to 2005 he became involved in ceramic decoration and at the same time created a plastic arts workshop (Le Grenier à Couleurs) which he chaired and ran from 2002 to 2005. Member of the board of the Association des Amis des Arts de l'Auxerrois until 2008, he was then selected to appear in the Official Directory of Artists of Who's Who Art Club International. In 2014 he joined the French National Council for Plastic Arts and the same year he was made Chevalier Académicien of the Mondial Art Académia, then Officer Academician in 2018. The Vermeil medals 2014 promotion and Gold medals 2016 are awarded to him by the Institute. European of Contemporary Arts. Joining the Avignon Contemporary Arts group in 2018, Alain FAURE works in watercolor, oil and above all acrylic paint. Her style is the compromise of all her experience with the renewed desire to progress towards beauty. When asked to technically define his artistic approach, he responds simply and in synthesis that it is a modern conceptual painting.
