Born in Wakayama Prefecture in 1951. Misayo Ito is interested in the Barbizon school of painters, and uses deep greens to paint beech forests in the style of Corot. She uses Western techniques to express the spirit, soul, space, and sensation of the tea ceremony of the East. Two-time winner at France Le Salon. Ito has held solo exhibitions in Paris and Kobe.
