My style is a combination of abstraction and realism. I like the water based media like acrylics, watercolor, and occasionally colored pencil for my work.
I've found that art is a very spiritual experience for me as I study the minute details in God's creation. In the last few years, I have turned my art into more of a worshipful experience. Although most of my subject matter doesn't necessarily look "religious", it had great meaning for me. Each painting symbolizes a deeper spiritual meaning and comes with a story of hope and inspiration.
About a year ago, I asked my pastor if I could paint during church and he let me. Now I have my own little space in the back of the church set up where i paint each Sunday. It has been a real challenge, but, it has stretched my creativity and led to some unusual paintings that I never thought of before.
I want my art to offer hope, inspiration, healing, and point people to the peace found only through Jesus Christ.
