Biography:
Sheryl Hughes is a native Californian who took up painting later in her life. She has been taking photographs for many years and now uses those pictures as inspiration for her paintings.
After spending many years visiting longtime friends that live there, Sheryl decided to move to Florida. She enjoys traveling and going back to California and Oregon to visit friends and family there. During her travels she spends time enjoying some of her favorite hobbies, scuba diving & photography. While diving she enjoys underwater photography and has achieved her underwater photography certification.
Out of the water, she enjoys traveling around Florida taking pictures of Florida’s wildlife. She has also traveled up and down both the US east and west coasts finding more inspiration for her photos and paintings. Her paintings can be seen in many businesses around Northern California and Florida.

Sheryl Hughes was born in California and now lives in Florida. She graduated from Art Instruction School. She is an awarded Artist, and has been on the cover of books in Angola and England. Sheryl a member and on the is on the Board of Directors at Art Gallery of Viera .
Great Blue Heron sit on the nest together after breeding to keep the eggs warm.
Looking at the strength that the Elephants have when crossing the river together.
Watching the beauty of the Great Egrets during breeding season is amazing. This paint is from watching them do the dance and building their nest together. The male flies off to get the twigs and brings them back to the nest for her to place them.
