Born in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1963. Ichinose is a rarity even in Japan, where only few artist work with cloth zori sandals in an attempt to pass on and popularize the traditional konkon-zori production method of her home region. In addition to guiding the next generation of zori artists, Ichinose has published books and DVDs and is also active in the media. Her skills also drew attention at the Japan Expo 2014 in Paris.
