Dori Spector graduated from Moore College of Art in Philadelphia in 1978. After working as a fashion Illustrator and courtroom sketch artist for 8 years, Ms. Spector studied painting at The Art Students League of New York for three years on a merit scholarship. She continued studying painting privately with Burton Silverman, John Phillip Osborne and Nelson Shanks. Spector also studied printmaking Pennsylvania Academy of fine Arts and currently works in the printmaking department as a shop assistant. She has shown in many galleries in Philadelphia(Artist's House Gallery), and New York(Amsterdam Whitney, Society of Illustrators, First Street Gallery).
