The seemingly simple and naive paintings by Bruno Tessier are not easily classified in one genre. He stands at the intersection of several major trends in contempory art – Expressionism, Free Figuration and Singular Art; his works are a coherent mix of all these movements.
Whilst from Expressionism we see his choice of materials, textures and strength of line, it is from Free Figuration he takes pleasure inventing humourous compositions, replaying the cliches of art.
