This textile piece was inspired by a piece of rusted fence. The fence was pressed onto fabric with acid and transferred a unique rust print. The remaining parts of the quilt include hand dyed and shibori dyed pieces, as well as one piece of fabric that was dyed by burying it in snow and allowing the snow melt to produce a one-of-a-kind dye pattern. The focal point is a sheer overlay. Dimensions are 24 1/2 inches by 42 inches. Price: $450.00 plus shipping.

The piece is custom frames with a clean finish walnut frame that measures approximately 25" X 25". the art quilt itself is 17 3/4 " X 17 3/4 ".

Created during a surprise spring snowstorm that granted me a day off of work and free time to play in my studio. The white snow, brown tree trunks, breaks in the sky and my bright spot of the studio are all represented in the abstract cruciform.
Created this series during a 2 day Nor'easter. The swirl of the storm on a radar image and a bluster of snow outside were the inspiration for these pieces. The largest is 12" X 12" on a 2 1/2 in thick canvas. The smaller sections are 6" X 6" each and are mounted on 1/2 inch thick birch board.
Created with hand woven fabric found in a small shop in Taos, NM and some other fabrics from my collection. This piece was inspired by the news of my impending grandmotherhood. With the energy of joy and the work of the universe happening, these fabrics actually glow with a radiance that is found in the people who experience the birth of their first child (and grandchild).
Using some radiant hand woven fabrics collected on a trip to the Taos Plateau of New Mexico, these pieces are abstractions of the glow of a sunrise and the quiet of a moonrise. The "windows" are illuminated as darkness sets into the nighttime and the quiet dim light of the morning as a household is awakening. Hand and machine quilted using rayon threads and hand dyed fibers the arcs of the celestial bodies in the sky are there to depict the passing of days.Each piece is 9" X 12" and mounted on gallery wrapped canvas.
Created by using an underlayer of collage that uses red tissue paper cut outs that are posted in windows in China to bring good luck. The Yin-yang is a symbol of balance, harmony, peace and health. When everything is in balance everything is at it should be. This piece has layers of collage and paint that add depth and interest for the viewer. Dimensions are 12" X 12" by 1 1/2 " gallery wrapped canvas. Wire backed and ready to hang in a space where you need a symbol of inner and outer peace and harmony.
