I live in Saint Louis Missouri. I started making art as a child and never stopped. I have studied art in school but never obtained a degree. Employment takes time away from being able to work on art to the extent that I would like, but I remain persistent in the time that I do have.
I began working with regular crayons somewhere around 1985, just after high school. I have used them for my completely abstract color work as well as the expressionistic fauvist landscapes which I sometimes call the dreaming tree series.
Crayola Crayons on drawing paper. Bright and beautiful colors swirling like captured music. This series of abstracts has been called, by some, psychedelic blobs. I like to think of them as drawing inspiration from abstract expressionism and the feeling of music but also as a unique thing in their own right. They are something that I feel, I don't think I can explain it.
