THE CRITICS

Compare the vital principles and contradictions of existence

The artist Antonietta Moschi based his entire sculpture space grappled and almost attacked by his inspirational force on the shape jutting into it, on the contrast between the ‘technical and expressive interior and the’ outward appearance of intense, massive upset relevance of solids and voids, dynamized, from opposite sensations which are exalted. That said, we see as in “Tree (s) Woman”, she expresses the ‘allegorical attempt latter’ to bring, with his rediscovered love generative (but without any moralistic tendency ) towards a path of improvement, taking advantage of the use symbolic of the ‘image of the’ tree of life precisely (like the one planted by God in the Garden of Eden) as nurturing, family-like vital principle new birth or birth repeated state deplorable condition of the humiliated and offended man ‘s today. And then, here as in “Motherhood” is to fulfill those two principles aforesaid ideally put together by the unifying power of life in stubborn disagreement of non-being and being born from nothing, in the generous impulse-arboreal say carnal of himself, of his own body analog of woman-tree planted by ‘love in an attitude of intense participatory voltage not common, painful gestation of epiphanic. But there is no fail to see in the third book (a design nimble and lean, lively) of Moschi examined by us, “Woman in the sea!” As the life that she has given to his tree-human creature (and plant ) born of his “Belly” undergoes a sort of division, Ides antinomy of life. And it is precisely when it is characterized and is configured in the detachment, in contrast sentimental affection between the Mother who is in a hurry to go, to turn his eyes and his steps elsewhere and Baby girls she energetically “pulls” in the opposite direction as instinctively attracted to a shell. Or when one the tree-woman in its full vitality existential registers the indifference’s man shows towards it enough to let him know about violence, devastation or death or violent combustion.
