Biography
Maurice Heymbeeck is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the intersection of tactile art, mosaic art, light art, and contemporary modern art. With a unique combination of acrylic paint (emphasizing gold and silver tones), photography, and mosaic tiles, he creates artworks that bring texture and light together. His work is both visually intriguing and inviting to be physically experienced, fostering a strong connection with the audience.
Maurice Heymbeeck has exhibited his work in various locations, including solo exhibitions in Westende (2024-2025) and has been selected for exhibitions such as the OLV Hospital in Aalst (October-December 2025). In addition, he frequently works on specific projects, including original postcards for Dement vzw in Ostend, and experiments with historical and alternative techniques such as cyanotype and gold paint.
His art is characterized by a deep attention to detail, a love for reflective materials, and a constant search for innovative ways to combine different media. He regularly shares his work and inspiration on social media, where terms like ‘tactile art’ and ‘light art’ play a prominent role.
