Otto began his artistic career in an art studio at 16. He started freelancing at 21 and has worked for most of the large Advertising Agencies in Australia specialising in hyper realistic Illustration.
Otto has always wanted to concentrate on painting and sculpture and for the past three years has managed to pursue this passion with mixed success.
Otto has been a finalist in over30 art competitions including the Dough Moran and has won first prize in five including the D’Arcy Doyle and several second and thirds.
His keen interest in sculpture has resulted in two first and two second prizes for sculpture.
Otto has concentrated on establishing himself through competitions in Queensland and NSW. Recently Otto has entered and been a finalist in several interstate competitions including the Heysen art prize SA, the Glover landscape prize TAS. and the Minnawara art prize

Storm clouds allowed a shaft of sunlight to enhance the colours of the cliff face and the sea
