I self-trained in art and attended some evening courses to acquire new methods. I paint with thick paint on brush and like the feeling of moving the paint around the shapes I want to create. I paint and tend to work in a 'moment in time': the light and emotions of that moment both, express and impress them on the canvas.
Printing provides an amazing field for experimentation and research. Not one print is the same, even when using the same inking method. When I print, or when I paint, time passes so quickly that it's as if nothing else existed. Sculpture and photography, knitting, architectural space, gardening, are another cup of tea altogether. They all provide a huge amount of possibilities for the mind.
