I started painting at a young age. Painting provided me an escape and a means to express myself. In 2007, my partner and I started an alpaca ranch in Morongo Valley. Managing our Ranch and tending to the animals afforded me the time to nurture my passion…my emerging style blossomed.

Oil is my primary medium. It is the richness of color and the ability to manipulate the paint which are the reasons that I enjoy painting with oils. My current work is influenced by the old and the abandoned. I love the character that I see in each object. There is so much beauty in something that is flawed and forgotten. My paintings tend to evoke a connection when someone views them. I repeatedly hear things like, “that reminds me of when I was a kid” or “our neighbor had a car just like that”, and “my dad had a truck just like that!” …happy memories.

I am fascinated with items that tell their story by the patina they wear. My paintings evoke memories... feelings... and poingnant moments...
