Location:
Ecuador has a history of 5,000 years of people called Canñari, dating from after the former Inca population. A popular historic site to visit is Inca Pirca. This where the early people built stone walls and buildings without any mortar. The stones are fitted together with no need for mortar. Early people are show cased in the local Museum, Puma Pongo in Cuenca. The city of Cuenca has some historic locations, buildings, and native people of different cultural backgrounds. One can see by their dress what they relate to. I visited the Old Cathedral in Cuenca. There I meditated on the quiet, viewing the altar. I walked through the rooms on the side of the main church. I viewed a setting of the Last Supper which featured life size imagery of Jesus and the disciples. Attached to that room was a small collection of old vases. At the back of the main church seating was a setup of life size human sculptures featuring black skinned people. I didn't take the time to photograph the signs, for interpretation to English from Spanish. I will do that on my next meditative visit.
