From the age of 16, I almost always had a camera with me, till later on I was carrying multiple cameras and lenses at all times. Looking back at some very early shots, I can see that I was already developing a certain penchant for that calculated still life symmetry in my 35mm work. The parallel lines, the isolated architectural details and often the absence of man. The love of beauty and despair around us, built by us. The night shooting with its eerie tones, the love of color or its absence as an expression, and the grand majesty of nature.
When I do not have a camera with me, as I look around, I am saying to myself, where is a good shot or that would be a great shot.
I see the world around me in pictures.
