“I am an emotionally intuitive photographer, with an artistic eye that responds to the nuances of color, design, and movement. A new emotional resonance is uncovered by every movement I capture underwater .The sheer joy of photographing, following the energy, the color, and my imagination is what inspires me"
Suzanne Barton is an award-winning photographer who lives and works in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and is regaled for her Underwater Artwork. Passionate about photography since childhood, she has worked professionally since 1985, honing her skills through continuing education and mentoring by professional photographer, Willie L.Hill Jr.
Suzanne was commissioned by Royal Caribbean Cruise Line to create two pieces for their private art collection aboard Harmony of the Seas. She is represented in galleries in Texas, Florida, South Carolina, Ohio and New York. She hopes to exhibit in Europe and Dubai next year.
She shares her photographic talents with numerous charities (children, animal welfare and cancer causes) giving her new perspectives and dimensionality which influence her work.
" My "Tiny Dancer Underwater Art Series" began as a yearning to experience the depth, serenity and energy of this new underwater locale. The grace and fluidity of movement, the soothing quiet and calm beneath the surface, along with the weightless suspension, as my subject floated to the surface, left me transformed. I witnessed the perfect communion between a dancer's heart and the "inspirational wisdom of water": "Water takes the form in which it is held and moves in the path of least resistance."
I hope that my artwork serves as a joy to your senses and leaves you "transformed" as well!
The "Tiny Dancer" Series is committed to Aluminum by Archival Dye-Sublimation, embellished with reflective materials and resin to bring the pieces to life. Each limited edition piece is signed and numbered.

Water is vital to life as we know it-without it, no life exists. It supports us in the womb, it energizes, purifies and cleanses. It symbolizes life, clarity, growth, illumination and transformation. I celebrate IT'S beauty as a gentle reminder to all, that WE are the caretakers of this precious life force.
