Born in 1975 in Caracas, Carlos Maneiro started his art studies at the “Essy” Art Academy in the venezuelan capital when he was only eight years of age, school which he attended for next eight years, learning the ways of many different artistic mediums under its director, Javier Hernandez and later on with abstract artist, Arturo Millan. Carlos attended the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale. After graduation he lived and worked in the U.S. for over 14 years, acquiring great experience and exposure.
Maneiro also lived in Berlin for two years, before returning to his native Venezuela in 2007, promoting and further developing his work, not only in Germany but through out Europe as well.
Based on the series by Joan Miro´s "Constelaciones" which touched upon the devine and celestial as a source of inspiration. With "Consternaciones" Maneiro used a more conventional and down to earth subject, our day to day chaos and disorder, a combination that many seem to just need to live.
