Yassir Ali is a Sudanese artist who is living in Nairobi in Kenya since 2004 . He graduated in 1997 from the fine art Department of Sudan University for Science and Technology with a degree in fine art. Yassir is involved in many projects for Sudanese children like for Nafage Art Workshop Abd elKarim Mirghani Cultural Center (AKMCC) in Sudan since 1998 and he is also responsible for promoting manual work of displaced poor and school left out children since 2000 for organization called Children’s Culture of AKMCC. He is also member of the Almada Art Group, Union for Sudanese Artist and member of Kuona Trust based in hurling hum Nairobi, Kenya.
His art work is inspired by Nubian culture, Nubian motifs, colors and atmosphere.

Participate in ARS 11 Exhibition at Kouvola. Finland. 2011

Nubian civilization is one of the oldest civilizations of the world, and I’m Sudanese Nubian that’s why the majority of my paintings inspired by the Nubian civilization. In my Paintings I worked more in the atmosphere ancient Nubian by contemporary way, Using my love for Nubian motifs and symbols .And as usual in my work not to copy the old Nubian motifs and symbols , but try to keep it in contemporary way .
