I’m an engineer and in 2008 I open my own architecture and engineering studio but in my secret life I have always cultivated my love for art and photography. Not so secret actually: there were exhibitions and recently the prize in “Siena Creative Photo Award 2021”. Today I’m focused more on this side of my life. From 2020 my pictorial activity is about a new cycle of works with large faces and enigmatic figures characterized by the remarkable brightness increased by the use of fluorescent colors and by the deformation of the represented figures.
The works are characterized by the use of different pictorial styles. The severity of the represented figures is mixed with the irony of the composition that sometimes borders on the grotesque. In this apparent contradiction coexist pictorial influences of the twentieth century avant-garde with influences of Lichtenstein's pop-art and of the new manga currents with pure colors, flat colors and no light dark.
