Born in 1956 in Trois-Rivières, Quebec (Canada), Raymond Quenneville now lives in Boischatel in the Quebec City region. He is a self-taught artist who has been painting for over 35 years. His artistic background is eclectic: he has worked on projects ranging from caricatures and cartoons to nature interpretation panels and scientific books. He has also explored a variety of media, including watercolour, ink, and pastels. In 1992, he went back to oil painting, and decided to pursue his own unique style in expressing landscape and light. He devoted several years to developing his technique, working alongside other artists.
Raymond Quenneville has held many solo exhibitions and participated in numerous collective exhibitions and symposia. Winner of several national and international awards he is a member of the Institut des arts figuratifs (IAF) and of the Society of Canadian Artists (SCA) .
