MARIUSZ NAVRATIL - BIOGRAPHY
Architect, artist and lifelong explorer Mariusz Navratil was born in Gilwice, Poland in the region of Silesia, west of the historic city of Krakow.
His large-scale, sweeping works of art have been showcased in metropolitan art fairs, galleries and private collections in Miami, Washington, D.C., Austria, Poland, and Germany.
Inspired by science, time, and concepts illustrated in quantum mechanics and string theory, Navratil explores the principles of human existence, connectedness, and our "living" emotions through his art work.
Using ink and acrylic paint, he creates rich, multi-layered pieces that are geometrical in scope, narrative in nature, and aesthetically engaging.
Like a physician using an MRI machine, Navratil seeks to examine the spaces we inhabit, the depth of our emotions, and how we are all connected through interlocked threads of energy not visible to the complacent eye.
He is driven by the need to show how emotions, thoughts and feelings inhabit a space and are themselves physical objects that create sounds, vibrations, melodies, and contribute to our existence and co-existence.
"We create our own emotions and thoughts and they live and are weaved into the fabric of time, gravity, and space," Navratil says. "There are no empty spaces, but energy in between that we cannot see."
Navratil's thought-provoking works seek to illustrate that energy with pieces that are intuitive, organic, flowing, and that inspire reflection. His ever-evolving art attracts forward-thinking and new thought toward a deeper meaning of life, the universe, and our very own existence.
