Born in Winnipeg Manitoba in 1957, Christine A. Allan now lives on the West Coast of British Columbia, Canada. She studied Archaeology and Art History at Simon Fraser University and Fine Art at Emily Carr University of Art and Design. Her seemingly simple abstract expressionist compositions, inspired by the natural world, are created using layers of various mediums and iridescent paint, which gives them a unique quality that cannot be fully appreciated by a photograph. Christine has shown her work locally and internationally, and many of her pieces are in private collections in Canada, the US, and Britian. She also works on a commission basis.
