Paul Farinacci is a native New Yorker born and raised in Queens, NY. He graduated with top honors both from Queens College with a BFA and Brooklyn College with a MFA. He is a member of the LIC Artists, Inc. having had his studio in Long Island City for over 14 years. Farinacci is the recipient of a Fulbright, as well as fellowships from the Marie Walsh Sharpe Art Foundation, the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture and a 2011 NYFA fellowship. He has been awarded numerous residencies which include Millay Colony, NY, Weir Farm Trust, CT, Blue Mountain, NY, Fundacion Valparaiso Spain, the Tin Shop, CO, the Constance Saltonstall Foundation, NY and Ucross Foundation, WY. Farinacci also received NYFA SOS grants and participated in the first year of the NYFA MARK program.

Farinacci has exhibited his work across the US i.e. Sotheby’s, The Drawing Center, Islip Museum, David Beitzel Gallery, Artist’s Space, Nassau County Museum and Exit Art Gallery in NY; Catherine Clark Gallery, CA; George Segal Gallery, Montclair State University; Ann Nathan Gallery, Chicago; First Story Gallery, KY; and Coburn Gallery and Colorado College, CO. Internationally, his work was included in exhibitions in Germany, England, Italy and Spain. His public art commissions include sculptures for the Carnegie Mellon Museum, PA, the American Cancer Society, San Antonio, TX, AKC, NY, NY, Childline, London, UK, Nassau County Sports and Recreation Authority, Garden City, NY and a mural for The Department of Health, the NYC Mayor’s office and the Housing and Preservation Department. His artwork was published in the books Stone Canoe Art Journal 3 and 4, Tattooed Walls and On the Wall.

Presently, Farinacci works as an Assistant Professor and Clinical Supervisor of Art Ed at Hofstra University and an Art Specialist at the Shaw Avenue School.
