Always be yourself unless you can be a mermaid, then always be a mermaid
This could be the philosophy of the artist Vivian Borsani
Vivian Borsani was born in Brazil, where she spent the first six years of her life before the family moved to Hamburg. She enjoyed her artistic training in Paris at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs, in Venice at the Peggy Guggenheim Museum and at the School of Visual Arts New York with Yannis Kounellis in Urbino (Italy). Vivian has lived and painted in Mallorca for 20 years, on the island that she got to know and love in her childhood. Here in the Mediterranean, she is working successfully on her career: Her collectors come from Germany, Great Britain, Spain, Switzerland and the USA, including international celebrities. The cheerful artist not only exhibits regularly and in different places on the island, but also across Europe: from Madeira to Hamburg, Berlin and London. Vivian is represented internationally by galleries in Brighton, Padua and Panama and she works closely with interior designers in England and Mallorca. In her studio in a small, two-story house in the trendy Santa Catalina district of Palma, she lets her creativity run free and if you want, you can look over her shoulder while painting on the upper floor. On the lower floor, she regularly organizes exhibitions, always together with other artist colleagues, such as at Easter and in September for the Nit de l’Art. Her works indulge in splendid colors: inspired by the sea and the marine life, especially fish, but by flowers and blossoms in all shapes and colors.
