Location: United Kingdom
I was born and grew up in the city of Salisbury and being surrounded by countryside and medieval architecture, my love of rural and urban spaces started from a young age. In my late teens I began painting watercolour, and with its unforgiving nature allowed me to forge a love, respect and passion for the medium and its difficulties early on.
In 2003 I held my first solo exhibition titled " The Inspirational world " in the Portico Gallery in Salisbury. This was a crucial stepping stone for me and confirmed my desire to be an artist and to share my passion for painting and drawing with the wider audience. Later that year I relocated to Devon where I still live and work today.
In the summer of 2019 I held my first solo international exhibition in the City of Krasnodar, Russia by kind invitation of the Cities Mayor. It was indeed an honour to have the work recognised at an international level, and so has cemented my desire to hold more international shows not only in Russia but other countries also.
I continue to create new work and collections of various subjects and locations from my studio, with a view of exhibiting and sharing the work that I produce. Through my paintings and drawings I hope to evoke real emotion, but most of all to let the viewer enjoy the art as much as I enjoy making it.
