Pet Portraits

I've been an artist all of my life. It's all I ever wanted to be. I've also loved animals of all types and marvel at their beauty and individuality. So, it seems only natural that I combine these 2 things. I'm seeking commissions to create a unique portrait of your very special companion whether current or commemorative, and give my artwork an honored place in your home. This would also make a unique gift.

I take great cared with my work and strive to create something that's not just a portrait of a dog or cat, but one that is instantly recognizable as yours.
You can decide whether you want a black & white or color portrait on white or colored papers. I use only the very best quality materials, so that you can enjoy it for many, many years.

To begin a project I need a photo of your pet(s). It must be well lit and good resolution for the best result. I can't use blurry photos or that are taken with a mobile phone.
The price reflects a color or black & white portrait without background on white or colored paper of one animal, unframed or matted. The size refers to the paper used. The portrait will occupy about 3/4 of the paper. For multiple subjects or a custom size, please contact me to discuss the details.

I'll send you (by email) photos of the drawing before I ship it, so if you have some little thang I can adjust it. During our first contact please specify if you need it delivered by a certain date. Usually the work takes about 7 days to be completed (before the shipping), and depending on my work load. Obviously shipping times depend on the destination. The drawing will be sent via registered mail.

If you have any questions, please contact me!
Thanks for visiting.

Angel “Angel”

This is one of our cats. We adopted her from a wonderful woman who rescued her from the streets of the Bronx, NY. She's a rare breed named Nebelung. The name Nebelung is German and means “creature of the mist,” a reference to the cat’s shimmering silvery-blue coat that seems to float over his body. She's got her name because of her personality. We're very lucky to have her and she gets along very well with our other cat.

Boxer “Boxer”

I did this boxer as a sample of my pet portrait work. It is done totally in colored pencil on Canson Mi-Teintes pastel paper. This is what you can expect if you commission be to do one for you.

German Shepherd 1 “German Shepherd 1”

I did this German Shepherd as a sample of my pet portrait work. It is done totally in colored pencil on Canson Mi-Teintes pastel paper. This is what you can expect if you commission be to do one for you.

Princess Diana “Princess Diana”

I did this beautiful bird for my younger son. When he saw it for the first time he said, "I've bought other artists work of this kind of bird, but the difference with yours is it looks exactly like her".That is a main goal in my work. I don't just do portraits of animals, I strive to make it look like your pet. I also wanted to show that my work is not just dogs and cats. I'd love to do a custom portrait for whatever kind of pet you own. It is done totally in colored pencil on Canson Mi-Teintes pastel paper. This is what you can expect if you commission be to do one for you.

German Shepherd 2 “German Shepherd 2”

I did this German Shepherd as a sample of my pet portrait work. It is done totally in colored pencil on Canson Mi-Teintes pastel paper. This is what you can expect if you commission be to do one for you.

Siberian Husky “Siberian Husky”

I did this Siberian Husky as a commission for someone in Montana. It is done totally in colored pencil on Canson Mi-Teintes pastel paper. This is what you can expect if you commission be to do one for you.
