Born in Beauharnois in 1953, summers spent by the lake certainly awakened her fascination and deep love for nature.

In spite of a career in chemistry, Marie-Claude finds the time to dedicate to her other passions: painting, photography, horticulture, and hiking. She begins to paint seriously by 1978 and participates in several solo and group exhibitions in her region.

She participates in 2000 in the Big Competition of the “Cercle des Artistes Peintres et Sculpteurs du Québec”, where she wins an award in the category " Representational Reality ". Follow four solo and several collective exhibitions and Symposia. Then in 2006 and 2007, she wins First and Second prizes during Art Contests in Mascouche, Valleyfield, and La Prairie. Her art is now represented by three galleries in Quebec, “Galerie Pierre Séguin” in l’Île Perrot, “Le Balcon d’Art” in St-Lambert, and Galerie 865 in Mont-Tremblant, as well as in several private collections in Canada and the United States.

Her projects ? Paint always, investigate oil or acrylics and its infinite possibilities on location as well as in her studio. Her subjects: mountains, forests, lakes, rivers, as much as the sweetness of fields at dawn or the ardour of a sunset, all pretexts to the caresses of the one who constantly renews nature: LIGHT …
