Born in Kagoshima Prefecture in 1934, Kajihara is an oil painter, and member of the Kagoshima Prefectural Art Association. She is active particularly in her home area, having received the encouragement award from this same society as well as having been awarded the Southern Japan Women's Art Exhibition Woman's Award. Kajihara frequently holds solo exhibitions and strives to paint exactly what she feels.
