Tell Eric that he is self-taught, is to neglect the spiritual quest accompanying its course. Give it a purely technician dimension.
The technique, he learned with the ease of a gifted student. But his art, he went to look. In further roads that crossed. Just like Rimbaud, it is during these trips he was able to discover. He first crossed the cities, met people, lived emotions. He got lost trying to find it sometimes better. The alcohol in his bag, he drew a world glued canvas on his wounds flayed.
At first, the style was figurative (1981 to 2013). Offer on the canvas shared emotions.
But in 2014, he turned to abstract expressionism. His admiration for Jackson Pollock, the consciousness he had to finish his inner journey and the unreachable star, it was in him that he should find it influenced his way of painting. He found serenity. More need alcohol, wounds were closed.
Today, its reputation continues to grow. He is now a member of the European Institute of Contemporary Arts, and his works are listed on the art market. But it is the wealth of all he has gone through and humanity he was able to give them that make the universality of his works.
