“Somnos”

An abstract computer generated fractal design. A fractal is a never-ending pattern. Fractals are infinitely complex patterns that are self-similar across different scales.

“Smoke Warrior”

A unique and original abstract smoke art design. Photographing smoke trails gives some weird and wonderful shapes and patterns. When this is combined with photoshop, it is surprising what can be achieved. An abstract smoke trail image. Original photograph manipulated and coloured in photoshop.

“Mumbles Pier”

Mumbles Pier is an 835 feet (255 m) long Victorian pier built in 1898. It is located at the south-western corner of Swansea Bay near the village of Mumbles within the city and county of Swansea, Wales.
The pier is used only for fishing and tourism, offering panoramic views of Swansea Bay with the Mumbles Lighthouse on one side and Port Talbot on the other. Halfway along the Pier on the Bay side is a Royal National Lifeboat Institution lifeboat station. Still housing the historical records of the local Mumbles lifeboat, the House also currently handles the 'Tyne' Class boat.
In 2014 a new Tamer class lifeboat entered service at The Mumbles, and is now housed in a new, larger, boathouse with a slipway which were constructed at the end of the pier.

“Striped Water”

This is a glass of water shot against a striped background to illustrate the effect of water in refracting light. This image has been created in Lego by a school in Hungary to be exhibited in January 2015. See the blog on my website http://sjpgalleries.weebly.com for further details.

In September 2014 I received an e-mail from a school in Hungary requesting that they be allowed to recreate this piece using Lego. I gave my agreement and the completed Lego replica is due to go into the exhibition on 29 January 2015. It took a team of 8 some 36 hours and over 7,000 Lego bricks to complete.
