BIOGRAPHY
My name is Ignas Kutavicius. I was born 16th of July 1985 in the city of Klaipeda, Lithuania. Surrounded by creative people since my birth and having a whole family tree full of designers, musicians and other creative people I was bound to become an artist as well. Since my teenage years I loved documenting everything and everyone around me with pictures. An occasional family event or just hanging out with friends - I was always there with a camera. It did not take long time before I first saw the world through the viewfinder in my own way. Starting out slow with an amateur photo camera I soon noticed the great possibilities of optics and craved for more knowledge. Digital photography and computer technologies introduced me to a high variety of powerful image editing software, making me interested in graphic design. After a handful of tutorials on the internet I soon created my first portfolio webpage and filled it with my photos and digital artwork. With photography being my biggest passion I try to use every possible way and format of taking pictures. Beginning with standard digital and 35mm film SLR’s, to lomographic cameras, handmade pinholes and Polaroid. I love hand developing and copying black and white film and experimenting with different color films (cross-processing, redscaling, etc…). 2009 I graduated my graphic design and photography studies in the University of Jonkoping.
