I’m a Belgium Contemporary Artist Painter born in Brussels and also French citizen living and working in New York.
I have exhibited in several solo and group exhibitions in galleries and museums in the United States and France. My artworks are in private collections in Belgium, France, Switzerland and the United States.
In March 2016, I was recognized with my paintings for being a National Association of Women Artist’s member (N.A.W.A.) and I’m now represented by the N.A.W.A. Gallery.
I studied Art at Columbia University in a Advanced Intensive Painting Program, at the National Academy for two years in the Studio Art Intensive Program. Previously I enrolled in courses at the School of Visual Arts Continuing Education Program in Fine Arts in New York and at the Atelier d'Arts Plastiques des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
Before, I changed my career path for artistic activities in 2007, I got also Masters degrees in Business Administration at the Catholic University of Louvain-la-Neuve in Belgium, at the Sorbonne University, IAE Paris and at Paris Dauphine University in France and began my professional life as a consultant in Organizations and Change Management.
This first career influences my painting today and focus my painting on duality concept which is a constant research to find the right balance between things.
In 2010, I published an illustrated detective novel titled Macao Boites, in La Bruyère Editions which is a dark view on two big entertainment companies managerial shenanigans.
I’m Board Member of the Paris American Club and I’m also member of the FACC (French American Chamber of Commerce).
My art is about Duality in Space using Nature such as Water or Trees and Architecture as the main thread. I start by deconstructing the Space in two parts to illustrate a Duality. Duality is interesting because it implies a tension or opposition between two elements but it also involves a range of possibilities between the two.
Ice is a solid element but melting ice is a transitional state between solid and liquid which can evolve in these two ways according to external temperature. Climate change for example illustrates this kind of situation. It opens up possibilities between different states which can evolve in the direction of improvement or deterioration.
My paintings shows this breaking point where everything is still possible in the good or the wrong way. Duality concept is a constant research to find the right balance between things.
