His chosen genre is Fantastic Realism. Rick’s work is primarily intuitive, characterized by innovation and experimentation. He invents and portrays imaginary objects and characters not seen in reality. Rick received his Master of Fine Arts in Printmaking at the University of Oregon, where he taught lithography for three years. His work is greatly influenced by a 12-year residence in Germany and many later journeys around Europe, The Middle East and Asia. Rick has been creating digital painting for more than 25 years. He belongs to several international digital artists groups, including the Society for Art of Imagination and the Museum of Computer Art in NYC.
